'Eden Rock', 2007

'Eden Rock' is a serie of paintings which is inspired by film, television and computergames.

Alienation and suspense play an important role in this serie of paintings. The spectator is challenged to ask questions like ; why is the sky beige, why are the windows orange, why is the sky line empty , what’s happening at the end of the staircase, who’s holding the door and what’s the girl looking at?

The sold canvases will be replaced by new ones. In this way the story will renew itself constantly. The paintings can be bought separately and as a serie.
